Cangler is a bootstrapped commercial AI and data infrastructure company with a legally documented social-impact commitment. We build AI, plan to fund our growth from revenue, and donate our technology for the public good - and we have already made a legal 1% equity pledge to charitable impact, with a long-term ambition to give far more.
Cangler starts with Cangler Quant - whole-of-ASX research intelligence built on a governed AI operating system.
Create a healthier, happier, safer, more equitable, more sustainable, and more trauma-informed world where people live long, empowered, meaningful, and enjoyable lives - with adequate opportunities, education, health and well-being, standards of living, social security, and agency to live a life of their choosing, free from trauma, premature illness and death, and suffering.
We are building AI designed to pay for itself, get stronger with every product, and send a generous share of its success back to the world.
Cangler OS is a horizontal AI operating system. Industry products are built on top of it - Cangler Quant, our research-intelligence platform, is the first.
Revenue and AI capability from each product are designed to fund the next - and make the platform stronger, more open, and ready for the vertical after it.
We have legally pledged 1% of company equity to charitable causes, with a long-term ambition to dedicate far more - making the community a shareholder - and we donate our technology for the public good.
Built from the core outward - each ring extends the one within, out to Cangler Quant's market output - revenue intended to fund development back into the platform. So the engine is designed to pay for itself and compound with every product, and its success gives back to the world - the social-impact halo around it all. The same pattern repeats for every future vertical built on Cangler OS.
Revenue from Cangler Quant is intended to fund development, and we build with capital discipline - staying open to aligned early investors who share the long-term mission.
Alongside our commercial work, we give our AI tools to the medical community, to governments, and to the open-source commons - and we publish open tools for responsible AI adoption, focused on the United Nations Global Goals.
Cangler has legally pledged 1% of company equity to charitable impact through the Deed of Equity Gift - developed by the Atlassian Foundation with PwC Australia, Herbert Smith Freehills and Australian Philanthropic Services - and was recognised by Atlassian as the first start-up to execute it, with the tax treatment confirmed by an ATO private binding ruling.
That 1% equity pledge is our first formal step. Our bigger ambition is to build Cangler so that a meaningful share of what we create flows back into the world. Building on the Pledge 1% model of equity, product, profit and time, our long-term goal is to dedicate at least 25% of Cangler's company equity, product, or both to charitable impact through appropriate legal structures.
That pledge is directed to a named giving fund within Australian Philanthropic Services - a registered public ancillary fund - held under the Ellise Eagling Foundation name, with a standalone foundation to follow as it grows. Over time it is intended to fund a floor of food, shelter, care, education and dignity, and a long-term movement for Universal Basic Income, so no one falls through the cracks.
"I want the community to be a major shareholder - so our success is everyone's success, and everyone benefits from the productivity gains and technological innovations arising from AI transformation. AI should benefit society as a whole."Andrew Herbert · Founder
