Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 June 2026
This site is operated by Cangler (“Cangler”, “we”, “us”). We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
This policy explains what we collect when you contact us through this website, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have.
What we collect
We only collect personal information you choose to give us — primarily when you submit our contact form. That includes:
- your name and email address, and optionally your organisation and role;
- the contents of your message or enquiry, and any details you add about your interest or use case;
- limited technical information needed to run the form securely, such as your IP address (used to prevent spam and abuse).
Please don’t send sensitive information (such as health, financial-account, or government-identifier details) through the form — we don’t ask for it.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry and stay in touch about it, to assess whether a partnership or similar engagement is a fit where relevant, and to contact you about the Cangler product or service your enquiry relates to. We don’t use it for unrelated marketing without your consent, and we don’t sell your personal information.
How it’s stored, and who helps us process it
When you submit the form, your details are (1) recorded as a lead in our customer-relationship system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Dataverse; (2) backed up in Microsoft Azure storage; and (3) emailed to us via Microsoft Azure Communication Services so we can respond. To protect the form from bots, each submission is checked using Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes a verification token and your IP address.
These providers (Microsoft and Cloudflare) act as our service providers and process the data on our behalf. Your information is hosted on their infrastructure, which may store or process data in Australia and in other countries where they operate.
Disclosure
We disclose personal information only to the service providers above to operate the form and respond to you, where you have consented, or where we are required or permitted by law. We don’t sell or rent your information.
Cookies and tracking
This site doesn’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The bot-protection check (Cloudflare Turnstile) may set a cookie or store a short-lived token in your browser solely to confirm you’re human. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable cloud providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe and review our measures over time.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it to respond to you and manage any resulting relationship or application, and as required for our records. You can ask us to delete it at any time (see your rights below).
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can ask us to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it’s inaccurate or out of date, or delete it where we’re not required to keep it. To make a request, email andrew@cangler.au and we’ll respond within a reasonable time. If you’re not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
Overseas processing
Because we use Microsoft and Cloudflare, your information may be processed or stored outside Australia. We rely on these providers’ security and contractual protections to safeguard it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows the current version; please check back periodically.
